Award presented during the Gala Night of the 9th edition of the 100 Open Startups, in Rio de Janeiro
São Paulo, October 2024 – SpySkyTech, a startup that develops advanced AI technologies for camera-enabled devices, was honored with the top 6 position in the City Tech category during the awards ceremony of the 9th edition of the 100 Open Startups. This event recognizes the open startups and scaleups that are most innovative in collaboration with corporations across the country. The official announcement and award took place during the Gala Night held at the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro on October 17.
According to Adriano Leão, CEO and founder of the deeptech, the award symbolizes the recognition that the company has been achieving in the disruptive technology market. “We are a young company that is already making an impact on the market. We believe that our innovative solution is the key to solving numerous pain points and generating valuable insights, and we know that, because of this award and recent events, we are on the right track,” he commented.
In addition to attending the Gala Night, Adriano also participated in the Gitex Expand North Star 2024, which took place in Dubai, representing Brazil in the internationalization mission promoted by Apex. Moreover, the company was selected by Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications of the United Arab Emirates, for a meeting along with 14 other startups from around the world to showcase SpySkyTech’s solution.
This year, according to the Ranking data, the hiring of startups by corporations more than doubled compared to 2023, and the volume of open innovation contracts increased from R$ 6.4 billion to R$ 10.8 billion in the period, representing a 69% growth, with 62,216 recorded relationships.
More than 39,000 open startups were registered, with 5,077 having validated contracts, about 20% more than the 32,000 registered in 2023, when 4,177 had validated contracts. Additionally, the startup categories that attracted the most corporate resources for open innovation projects during the period were Artificial Intelligence, IndTechs, and LogTechs.
